Litsy, anybody?

Is anybody out there on Litsy? It’s been called an Instagram and Goodreads love child. I’m still trying to figure it out, but if you would like to follow me, I’m Londiniumgirlbooks there as well. Follow me, and I will follow back 🙂 We’ll figure this one out together.

Updates, What I'm reading now..., Young Adult books, Young Adult Reveiws

Reading is hard sometimes. Especially when you’ve gone through a slump and can’t find a book that sparks your interest. I was reading Carry On but because I didn’t read it fast enough, my loan from the library expired and I had to be put back on hold. I have it checked out again, and am going to finish it this time.

Wink Poppy Midnight I was really into, so much so that I took it to the gym on Friday to read on the elliptical. It was great, until I got a call on Saturday saying it had been returned to them, sopping wet. Apparently, it fell out of my bag on my way from the gym to my car and then it rained Saturday.  So I owe the library a new book. I’ve ordered it and am going to finish reading it before I hand it back over.

So the reviews may be long in coming, but they’re coming. Just stick with me y’all. The struggle is real some times.

I have an Instagram now! Yay! It makes me me Insta-old because I still don’t understand why people like it, but I’m going to give it a try. I haven’t taken photos yet, but I plan to use that account as a way to document my reads photographically as well as digitally. SO, check me out, and follows would be appreciated 🙂

World’s Worst Blogger Here…

I suck at blogging. I really, realllllly do. I love read books, and I love writing about how those books made me feel, but I can always convince myself to do something else. I stopped blogging a little over a year ago. I had started a new job, started running, started making real big girl money, and I felt like I didn’t have the time.

Truthfully, I didn’t. I had a two hour commute daily, and on the weekends, I tried to catch up on shit I didn’t get to do during the week. My mom also kept getting tremendously sick and staying in the hospital for months, which left the house and our animals completely up to my care. Life was hard. I lived that way until March of this year, when I moved closer to work and everything just got easier. I could no longer convince myself that I didn’t have time to read and write a review.

That mind game is over because I’m making goals and  I’m sticking to them.

So, I’m back, again, hopefully for the last time.

Update: What I Read in March…

March was a slow month for me. I read most of my To-Read list, but not all of it. April will be a better month. In March I read:

Review: “Legend” by Marie Lu

Review: “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr

Review: “Afterworlds” by Scott Westerfeld

Review: “Making History” by Stephen Fry

ICYMI: All the above titles are links to reviews.

Review: Denton Little’s Deathdate (Review coming in April)

Update: What I read in February…

Y’all. I actually read the books I said I was going to read for February! I did it! Yay! *Pats self on the back*

Here’s to hoping March will be just as productive!

Update: What I Read in January…

I created a list earlier this month to give readers some idea of what I was going to read this month. All that list did was to prove that I have no self control over my reading habits. Strike-through titles are ones I read this month and are linked to the review, if you’re interested. Below are other books I read and review, for those that missed them. I’m going to do better to read what I say I’m going to read in February, I promise!

January To Read List:

Other books that I read and reviewed (instead of reading what was on my list):

I also read Seeker by Arwen Elys Dayton and K-9 by Rohan Gavin. Those reviews will be up later this month.
